Title: Literary dinner with whisky expert Charles MacLean at Johnstons of Elgin

Charles MacLean has spent the past 30 years researching, writing and lecturing about Scotch whisky. He is the author of nine books on the subject, including the standard work on whisky brands, Scotch Whisky, and the authoritative Malt Whisky, both of which were short-listed for Glenfiddich Awards. His Scotch Whisky: A Liquid History won Wine & Spirits Book of the Year in the 2004 James Beard Awards and Best Drink Book in the World at the Food Media Awards. He is a consultant to the whisky industry, and to Bonhams International Auctioneers, and sits on the judging panel of the International Wine & Spirits Awards. Following the enormous success of last year’s inaugural festival dinner we are delighted to offer again an appetising three course meal in the prime surroundings of the Coffee Shop at Johnstons of Elgin. Their chef’s menu will be suitably tailored to the evening which will be crowned by author and whisky expert Charles MacLean’s after dinner talk. This quality dining experience will be preceded by a glass of fizz to welcome guests to this prestigious event.

There will also be the opportunity to browse Johnstons’ Autumn collection and benefit from a 10% discount on the evening.
