Read an article about the Feng Shui Detective series by author Nury Vittachi.

All hell’s breaking loose in Shanghai. A group of hyper-vegan terrorists are threatening to blow up the city. There’s a potentially explosive white elephant on the loose and the world’s two most important presidents are due to visit. Only the grumpy feng shui master, C F Wong, and his over-enthusiastic British-American assistant, Joyce, can save the city, the world and, hopefully, the elephant.

An utterly appealing combination of ingenious plotting, quirky characters, pitch-perfect dialogue and comic timing, and exotic locations, The Shanghai Union of Industrial Mystics is a highly original and witty read.

COMING SOON!! The second book in the Feng Shui Detective series, Mr Wong Goes West.

Nury Vittachi is Hong Kong’s most popular contemporary writer in English and has been hailed by CNN as ‘the beat reporter of the offbeat’. Vittachi and his parents fled the war in Sri Lanka and emigrated to Britain. He began his career with the South China Morning Post in the late 1980s. He is well known for not pulling his punches in his journalistic writing – his gossip column was deemed too dangerous to publish in the 1990s after Hong Kong was handed over to China. He now lives with his English wife and three adopted Chinese children in Hong Kong. His whole life has been dedicated to breaking down cultural barriers and promoting freedom of expression and he has written many fiction and non-fiction books for adults and children.
