Chris Longmuir lives in a small seaside town on the east coast of Scotland and, although born in Wiltshire, considers herself a Scot. After leaving school at 15, she worked in shops, offices, mills, factories and was a bus conductress for a time. After gaining her degree, she worked as a social worker for Angus Council (latterly as Assistant Principal Officer for Adoption and Fostering) and has worked with drug users and HIV patients. Christina started writing in 1990 and has had several short stories published.
