The two adjacent Edinburgh districts of Canonmills and Inverleith have much to offer. Both have a strong heritage and played a historical role in the development of the city over the centuries. Canonmills, with its roots in the monastic milling of the monks of the 12th century, and Inverleith, which had at its heart the stately house of the Rochieds, and the world famous Botanical Gardens. |
