Sheila Szatkowski is a historian and writer who has lectured and written extensively on Edinburgh characters of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. She is founder of The 227 Club, whose main purpose is the celebration of the humour and conviviality of the Scottish Enlightenment. She lives in Edinburgh.
