Peter Lockton

Peter Lockton, CBE was born in Bristol, UK in 1934. An electrical engineer, he had 43 years’ continuous service with one of the UK’s largest power systems companies. His job took him to many parts of the world. The thirteen years before his retirement were spent in India. Since retirement, he and his wife, Lucy, divide their time between the UK and India.

Peter has been keenly interested in Royal Commemorative mugs and beakers for over forty years and has a large collection, many of which are featured in this book. Lucy, ever since waving her flag as a schoolgirl when greeting Queen Elizabeth II and HRH Prince Philip outside Kheria Airport, Agra, India in 1961, has been intensely interested in Britain’s Royalty and ensures pride of place in their home for the collection of Royal Commemoratives.
