Gunnie Moberg lived in Orkney for over thirty years. She collaborated with the author Liv Kjorsvik Schei on books about Orkney, Shetland and the Faroe Islands as well as with George Mackay Brown, providing images to accompany his poems.
Birlinn were proud to publish two of Gunnie’s books: Orkney - a collection of 100 photographs which captured both the natural beauty of the island and its remarkably rich heritage of buildings and monuments; and The Faroe Islands (with Liv Kjorsvik Schei), the only book published which offers a detailed account of this remarkable corner of the world, illustrated throughout with many of Gunnie's photographs.
