I thoroughly enjoyed "Tartan Air Force" for it`s highly readable account of military flight in Scotland. Having said that, I would take issue over the raid on Aberdeen in 1942. The author seemed to treat that raid rather lightly considering the deaths occurring on that day at Hall Russells shipyard. I was 11 years old and witnessed the German aircraft coming down to crash on Anderson Drive
