Terms
Whilst every effort has been made to ensure accuracy of information on this Web Site, the manufacturer reserves the right to change any specification without notice. As such, all photographs are as a guide only, and may not necessarily represent the product on offer. Accessories depicted are not necessarily part of the product package.
Customers must ensure that goods are suitable for the purpose intended.
All items are subject to availability.
All prices are subject to fluctuation without notice. However prices agreed at time of purchase will not change in final billing.
Any sizes, capacities and dimensions quoted are approximate and for guidance only.
All Customer details are kept in strict confidence and comply with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Any questions or queries regarding the product must be asked prior to ordering.
Shipping is free to UK Mainland only. Shipping to addresses outside the UK will be charged at 30% of the total cost of your order, and will be sent by airmail. Delivery is mostly between 7 and 14 normal working days, depending on the item being in stock. Once despatched, Birlinn Limited cannot be held responsible for delays beyond our control.

Damaged, Defective Goods and Cancellation Rights
We supply goods that are free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months (or longer if required by law) from the date of delivery. You should inspect the goods when you receive them for defects or damage. If you find damage or a defect you must tell us within 7 days.

Unwanted Goods
In accordance with the new European Directive on distance selling, which has been incorporated into UK law by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling Act) Regulations 2000, you as the consumer have the right to cancel your order with us within 7 days of receiving the goods. Day one to be the day after you receive the goods. You will have to pay the cost of returning the goods to us, all other monies will returned within 30 days date from cancellation, on the understanding that the goods are returned in the condition of which they are received.
If we have not received our goods back within that time, the Regulations allows us to deduct what it would cost us to retrieve the goods from you the consumer.
We will however not accept back goods that have been used.

If you buy the goods for use in a business, we will not be liable for any indirect loss, or any loss of business or profits, savings you expected to make, wages, fees or expenses caused by the goods or any part of them breaking down or stopping working properly If the goods break down or stop working properly during a manufacturers warranty period, we will try to replace them or repair the fault as soon as reasonably possible after you have reported it and returned the said goods to us.

Applicable Law
By visiting Birlinn Limited, you agree that the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern these Conditions of Use and any dispute of any sort that might arise between you and Birlinn Limited.

Trade Returns Policy
All books must be in mint condition and suitable for re-sale. All returns and requests must be authorised in advance by Birlinn Limited or an authorised representative. No out of print titles may be returned unless permission is sought from the publisher. Books may not be returned within three months or after twelve months from receipt by the customer. Single copy returns will not normally be accepted except by special arrangement. Faulty books must be returned complete, title page is not acceptable. Returns must be sent to the Booksource warehouse within one month of written authorisation being received, otherwise they may not be accepted. Returns should not be sent to the publisher’s office. All returns must have an authorised returns label and should be clearly addressed to: Booksource Warehouse, 50 Cambuslang Road, Cambuslang, Glasgow, G32 8NB.
